Shopping for a truck turned out to be a great experience with Ray Skillman Hoosier Ford in Martinsville, IN. Finding the perfect pre-owned vehicle online the sales team, Ray Miller and Shelby Blunk, made it possible to hold the vehicle long enough to come out from CA and pick it up, even though others were coming in to claim the vehicle. I wanted to take the time to formally thank the service department for their assistance this morning. As I was pulling out of the driveway this morning at 0630, my trucks instrument panel warned me of low pressure in one of my tires. I got out of the truck and sure enough, I picked up a screw. Knowing I would now be late for work, I began to consider where I could take the truck to get the tire repaired. Limited coffee fogged my thought process and at 0700, I found myself at one of our local grocery stores that sells tires and performs vehicle maintenance. I watched nervously through the glass windows that separated me from my truck as the crew worked desperately to remove the tire from the wheel to begin the process of making the repair. After an hour of prying, pounding and head scratching I was notified that they would not be able to repair the tire. I received a free fill up of air, an apology and sent on my way. Having finished my mug of coffee at this point, I made the decision to go to Ray Skillman Hoosier Ford. The staff at the service desk greeted me with a smile, hand shake and assurance that they would take care of the tire. 15 minutes later I was handed my key and informed that everything was taken care of. Bottom line up front, I don’t know what is more dangerous: making irrational decisions early in the morning without adequate consumption of coffee, or taking your truck to a grocery store for maintenance. Either way, if you love what you drive take it to the professionals at Hoosier Ford.
